A week ago our Sydney soccer grading was cancelled due to more extreme heat of 40+ degrees. Now it’s postponed again as we (thankfully) experience torrential rain, finally easing drought and helping the bushfires.
It feels odd writing about bushfires amidst a cyclone with the house leaking, but as we all watched in horror over the holiday season I knew I had to try to do something, however small. Because every cent counts!
And the people affected still need our help.
I have always loved up-cycled, pre-loved items and revamped kids furniture was a big part of launching TUBU Kids. Buying and selling second-hand kids clothes, beds, wardrobes, toys and furniture has always been part of how I shop.
You may also know that I love the makers and creators who dream up the good stuff for our homes. Quality products, well made, often handmade and something a little different.
The Bushfire Fundraiser
As I changed-up my kids rooms recently, I decided to list my pre-loved items on eBay as I usually do, but this time donate all proceeds to a bushfire fundraiser.
With that in mind, I dug deeper and found beautiful items used in photoshoots and things that I still absolutely LOVE but aren’t currently hung or on display at home.
My eBay auction is live from Sunday 9 February for 10 days with every cent being donated to GIVIT.

Why GIVIT?
When researching charities this one really connected with me. A national not-for-profit, GIVIT matches new and pre-loved donated goods with people who need them most. “Need hotspots” expand every day, leaving thousands of Australians without homes and essential items.
